Youth Chat
About the Program
Youth Chat is a newer program of YICA aimed at reaching out to the youth (ages 18-28) of Sironko and Mbale. Youth Chat seeks to provide spiritual, emotional, and physical support to young adults. We meet together monthly to discuss a Biblical lesson, passage or truth. We seek to provide a space to discuss real life issues. The goal is to empower and develop the youth physically and spiritually.
Some of the ways we do this is by:
a. Reading and discussing the Bible to build Biblical knowledge and interpretation.
b. Developing relationships between ourselves and God, mentors and peers.
c. Developing life skills to better equip members to find work, create a source of income, and to lead their communities.
d. Participating in community service projects.
