YICA Child
About the Program
Here at YICA, we believe every child is created and loved deeply by God. We seek to share that love by focusing on and serving children and youth. One of the ways we do this is through the YICA Child program.

YICA Child began in 2018 in Sironko, Uganda at Bugusege Parents Primary School. It began with the vision of supporting local families by partnering with them to help meet the academic needs of their children. Our program lessens the financial burden of school fees and supplies by providing school supplies for children in our program. We also hold monthly gatherings to share Bible stories, play games, and sing songs with the children. Through monthly home visits, we are able to support and encourage families in our program.

Our YICA Child Team
We believe that in order to accomplish more for the communities around, we need to have many hands working together. Our team is mainly made up of people from Sironko, who have a deep passion for the Lord and for sharing the Gospel. Many of our team members are teachers and church leaders.
​
Our team works together to facilitates home visits, builds relationships with the community members and local schools, and plans and facilitates events for the children in our program.
